The Wake County Firefighter's Association meets on a quarterly basis. In general, meetings are on the second Tuesday of February, May, August and November. The November meeting is the Association's annual meeting at which the membership votes on and elects the board members for the upcoming year.
The Association offers a catered supper to all attendees. Besides providing a forum to discuss local fire service news and events, each meeting also includes a guest speaker - vendors, emergency service officials and others who bring the latest industry-relevant products, services and innovations to the membership.
*** We will not be serving a meal and will only have a brief business meeting in August, with the rest of the time being allocated for Dave Dodson's "The Art of Reading Smoke" presentation.
The Fire Commission holds its regular meetings on the third Thursday of each alternating month. Meetings are at the Wake County Commons Building off of Poole Road unless otherwise indicated.
**** In past years, the May meeting has been rescheduled to coordinate with the County's budget process. The May 20, 2010 meeting may or may not be rescheduled.
